Hi all,
A while back I purchased a very large acrylic cutting board on which to knead and roll out dough. Well, the darn thing did not want to stay put on the counter so pulled out some of the spongy shelf liner that remained from another project. I cut a piece a bit shorter than the length of the board and placed it on the counter under the board. Worked like a charm. Now I can roll out cookies, pie crust and knead bread dough without the worry of my surface scooting around. Using a big cutting board also helps with clean-up of the counter. No sticky bits to scrape up.
I have used that same liner to keep pictures resting on a shelf or mantle from sliding. Just a thin strip under the edge and the frame stays where you put it.
Have a great day!
